To Be Read – August

I had huge problems with choosing my TBR list this month. In one hand, I want to have a list ready so that I don’t have to think about what book to read next, but at the other hand I do not wish to “constrict” myself in what books to read. Not now when my desire to read is somewhat fragile.

But in the end I chose five books and they are as following.

augusti.JPG Book one is written by a Norwegian journalist and to this date is not yet translated to English. It probably will in the future and I can imagine the title will be directly translated too something like this. “Swim with the drowned.”

Book two is the second book in Throne of Glass series. I did not find the first book that fantastic but people keep saying it is worth continuing so I will try one more book. Keeping an open mind.

Book two is the second book in the legend of the ice people series. I have read it before but now when I have the whole series I’m reading it from scratch.

Wicked by Jana Deleon is the fourth book about Shaye Archer. The third one was an hell of a ride and it has taking me until now to feel myself mentally ready for the next one.

The last book is one by Kristen Ashley I have had in my kindle for years. It is some time since I read anything by KA now and instead of buying a new book, I thought I should read the one I already have.

And as usual there will be one more book but which one I do not yet know due to that my book club not yet have had our monthly meeting. 🙂

What are you planning to read in august?

To Be Read – July

Due to to big move and renovation of our new house, I do not count on getting that much reading in as I would like. I’m not even sure I will be able to listen on some audio books. So for July I have only picked four books, all in my kindle, since my physical books are in boxes. Here is what I have.

july.JPG

Rhythm, chord & Malykhin by Zapata. She is one of my absolute favorite authors and I always saves her books and reads them when I need it the most. For an example when I’m sick, depressed or now in July, probably very, very stressed.

Whiskey and Gunpowder by Hart, the sixth book in the series about Addison Holmes. I need to read it to know if the series is finished or not. I don’t know if I want to know the answer though.

Escape from the green by Gadziala. She usually don’t write fantasy but her first book “The Green” totally knocked me flat on my ass and I have been saving this one for the perfect time. Lets see if July is the time.

Next of kin by Sala. I feel that I probably will need some old time fashion romantic suspense and hope that this one will bring that to the table. 😀

To Be Read – June

I’m really excited for my June To Be Read list. I have some good books here which I have high expectations for. Hopefully not to high. Three books that are continuing in series I follow and three books who are stand alone. The genres are a large mix between humor, contemporary, romance, chick lit, fiction, mystery, New adult, horror, thriller, sci-fi, and suspense.

june.JPG

Liane Moriarty is a name I have seen circulating in the bookish community the last few years and this one “The Husband’s Secret” is the one I feel I want to use to introduce Moriarty to me.

The Risk by Elle Kennedy is the second book in Briar U series. I usually love Kennedys books so I do not expect anything less.

The Promise by R.L Mathewson is the tenth book in her Neighbor from hell series. I love her books but lately they have been somewhat “flat”. I hope “The promise” will bring the honor back.

Luna and the Lie. Don’t know much about it more than I love Zapatas books and I don’t even have to read the Synopsis to know I want to read her work.

Code Zero. The sixth book in the Joe Ledger series and staring my bookish boyfriend. He has finally found some happiness and I do hope Maberry didn’t throw in another curveball.

The Breakdown. A book I have had on my bookshelf for far to long now. I feel it will be an angst filled book but I did bought it so once in a time I did want to read it. Now is the time

To Be Read – May

I had six books on my TBR list for the month of May. Not including the one book from my book club and I’m so excited. I already started Death Note and Hollow City and I have already finished Blindsided. I’m on a roll right now. 😀

may.JPG

Death note: One of the horror, graphic novels I have really looking forward to. I have the black edition 1, which include vol 1 and 2 in one book, and it is beautiful.

Hollow city, the second book in the Miss Peregrine’s peculiar children series. It is time to continue the series since I have this one and the third one on my bookshelf. I have high hopes. I do hope not to high.

The Fiery Cross, the fifth book in the Outlander series. After the fourth book I’m not that excited to continue the series, but will give it a try. Maybe.

Sugar, the 12th book in the Henchmen MC series. I love these guys.

Through the fire, fourth book in the rocky mountain K9 unit. This series has been quite up and down for me, but this is the last one and it is time to close this series.

Blindsided, last book in the Titanium security series. I have wanted to read this one for long time, but never got to it. It is the last book in the series and I was so excited so I started and ended it the first day of May.

To Be Read – April

Every month I pick 2 eBooks from my kindle, 2 physical books from my bookshelf and 1 book from my to buy list, that I’m allowed to buy (yeah I’m on a buy books ban again) and planning to read them in the following month.

In March I had a reread and Breathe by Kristen Ashley left to read but at the time I’m writing this, I plan to start Breathe as soon as I’m done with the book I’m currently reading and it will probably happen before the end of March.

But anyway, following books are what I plan to read in the month of April. As usual there are a sixth book but that one I will not know what it will be until the meeting of my book club in the beginning of April.

april

The first book I chose, I’m looking forward to read since it is the forth book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. That series has been “out of this world, great” so far.

The second book is highly anticipated which had its release in March. It is a high fantasy on almost 1000 pages. It is almost a little frighting to start even though I usually loves big books.

The third book is one in a series I follow written by Jessica Gadziala, one of my favorite authors, where we finally suppose to be told what really happened to Eli.

The fourth book is the one I’m allowed to buy in April. It is a continue on a series I last read back in 2017 and wish to pick up again.

The last one is a book by a Swedish author that I received as a Christmas present from my mother-in-law. I wish to read it so that I can say the next time I meet her that I finally have read it. I received this one several years ago so it is about time. Haha Note: The book is translated to English and it’s title is “Hitman Anders and the Meaning of It All” if you are interested.

TBR March

march.JPGNew month, new To Be Read list. I’m quite happy with my results from February. I had selected 6 books (one was a February book club book) and I read all besides one. Well actually two since I DNF’ed one of them.

“The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” is the one I never started in February. I have put it on my list for March since this is a book I really want to read, I just didn’t get to it last month.

Other than that I have the fifth book in the Winston Brothers series, the fourth book in the Colorado Mountain series and the first book in a new series, The Nevernight Chronicle. The last one, “A court of Thorns and Roses” are actually a reread I have had a desire for lately.

There will also be a sixth book on the list but that one I do not know until my book club have had its meeting on Wednesday. Pretty excited for March and I think this will be a great reading month.

TBR February

february.JPG

I have decided to try a TBR lists for every month. I do not know how many books I should choose and so on, but I see February as a trial and error month.

I have selected six books I wish to read this month. I do own everyone of them and I will try to only select books I already own.

Golden son, Reeve and The chase is books I have had in my library for a long time now and I wish to get them read. The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle I choosed due to the highly interesting synopsis and The Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo I choosed due to the highly raving there is about it in the bookish community. I do hope it isn’t hyped to death.

Little Fires Everywhere is actually my book clubs choice for January but Bookdepository was so slow so I didn’t receive it until the end of January. The meeting is however not until Thursday so I will have the time to read it.
