My thoughts: The woman left behind is simply Linda Howard at her best. It is deep, complex and captivating. I love all the characters. I love Jina and how strong she is and I love pretty much everything about it. I do missed some small things which is the reason for not giving it a five star rating. But it is a great story with an exciting plot and I can definitely see myself rereading this one in the future.

I did not expect the book to be as slow as it was however. Not a bad slowness per say but half the book is mostly about all the training and growing attraction between Jina and Levi. I would have liked to have the whole “left behind” part to come in a lot earlier and that it was maybe a bit longer. It was over so fast and then we were back to the “slowness” again. However Howard won some points with keeping the plot interesting and the depth was always there which made it feel like you fell deeper and deeper into it all. And I did really love the way it made me feel.

Simply the best.

My thoughts: I was pretty angry with Monk when I ended the third book in the series. I was not yet ready to read the fourth book and had actually other plans for my next TBR. But she pretty much forced me to continue with that ending of the third book. I do not like to be forced to do things and it is not a good thing to have me go into a book a lot frustrated, a little angry and hoping for something more satisfying this time. Thank you for not disappointing me.

I was a little confused at the beginning of the book. I did not read it since I was at work but could not wait so ended up listening on it. The audiobook is wonderful and the narrator Amy McFadden is fantastic. Spectacular! The story started of really weird and it took me a while before I understood what was really going on. It is different from the first three books. It is even more darker and serious. I miss the ironic humor and *give a shit* attitudes but I see what Monk was going for here. It is also a lot more action filled than the third book and it is certainly quite a ride. It did get little excessive in the end but if it is something Monk is good at, it is surprises. And it was certainly quite a surprise.

I’m happy that I did get answers on all my questions *whew* but I do want more. Just a little more. To settle it all down. And I’m not the only one apparently since Monk have written a fifth book in the series due to the popular demand.

The series as a whole is great, so fun and wonderful. It is hard to not fall in love with the characters and just, oh I wish they were real. That is how fantastic it is.

My thoughts:*Rant warning* No, no no no NO! You are not supposed to end these books on that kind of cliffhanger. NO! I’m not ready to read the forth book right away but when you end it like that I just have to. I just must! So now you, my dear readers, know that this third book in the Spotless series ends on major cliffhanger. Not a small and acceptable one no, butt pretty much mid-sentence type of cliffhanger. GAH! Okay Rant over.

This is frustrating. First of I have to say that I really didn’t need a third, yes a THIRD book with the same theme “I’m going to die a virgin.” That plot you have bled dry now Monk. It’s time to move on. Get the speed up. Especially the romantic part of the book is so slow that we are pretty much moving backwards. It starting to be excessive and I need more and I need it know.

Other than that Monk is also still playing on the same string with the action and history. There is so much going on that at the same time you feel like it never goes anywhere. To be honest I actually started skimming the few last chapters because it did not give me anything. It was just the same, again. Other aspects of the book is a lot darker than the first two books. I love to follow the struggle and emotionally development and it is that who saved it for me. It made it real, interesting and easy to connect with, but still, it could have moved on a little further than that.

I enjoy the series as a whole but this one is the least of my favorite to be honest. I do hope the fourth one is better.

My thoughts: Such a charming and sweet little story. It surprised me how much I loved this book. It is short, sweet and taking place in Paris, France. What can be more romantic than that? It is a easy and funny modern romantic love story and it’s perfect for a hangover cure. I listened on the audiobook and the narrator, Alex Wyndham, was a perfect choice for the task. He did a great job with the french accent and the cadency.

It was a fascinating hobby detective story. It made me think how a total stranger would interpret me by just looking in my handbag. Me among other things, also drags around a book to write in. I use Leuchttrumn and not Moleskin but still. You can probably learn a lot about a person by the content in their bags.

My thoughts: Overall I would like to describe the book as deep, complex characters, complicated, thrilling, butterflies in my stomach, knock me on my head, god damn perfect with that satisfying ending, horrible tearful chapters and beautiful closing. I can’t enough English words to try explain what I’m feeling. But for me, this book, was pure perfection and exactly what I needed, wanted and sought.

KA is starting to be an addiction. I literally have to prevent myself from binge reading all her books. That is how good she is. And this is as usual a book who takes hold of you from the first page. It hooked me and never let go. I’m happy I started reading this only a day before the weekend because work at Friday was awful. I could not stop thinking about the book. I dreamed about it in the nights and on the days I only wanted to look myself in my home, abandon society, all my responsibilities, sleep and food. All I wanted was Lauren and Tatum.

It is a sweet story really. I love the characters and how diverse they were. Ashley is such a great author who writes these perfect characters that are deep, complicated and so easy to love or hate. I get invested in all her books and it is like I know them. I connected so hard with this one that when I ended the book, I could not stand starting a new romantic book right now. That is how huge impression this book, these characters and their story made on me. I can only say, read it! Hopefully you will to, love it.

My thoughts:All sexual tension aside, there is not much left to brag about. Nothing that made a big impression on me. And I’m a little sad about that since I see Robards as one of my favourite mystery, romantic suspense authors. I have “only” read six of her books and they have been a really hit or miss so I suspect she is a volatile author. You hope for the best but apparently you could get the worst.

The story is long winded, slow paced and repetitive. Some chapters had the feeling that they went on and on and on. A never ending story. And when you have read the same thought, the same phrase in 300 pages, you are bound to get bored. Well I did.

My biggest problem with the book is that everything take such time. The two main characters butt heads like two five year old and then suddenly it is all fine and dandy. The ending comes in a rushing pace and after it I was like “what did just happen?”. Well I do not recommend this book. Don’t take my word for it though. The book has a 3.75% in average rating on GoodReads and more often than not that should fit me pretty perfect in this genre. Well not this time. Not for me. But maybe for you? Judged by many of the reviews on GoodReads, there is a lot of happy, satisfied people out there who have read the book and liked it.

My thoughts: I’m freaking love this series. Every book is about a hockey player in a collage team. They are cocky, funny, insanely hot and really great guys with a moral compass pointing in the right direction. I loved the first book (yes you should read them in order) and I almost loved the second book as much. But this third one. O my gosh. I think it is my favorite so far and I’m in love with both Dean and Allie.

Dean is that cocky son of a bitch, who circling around the main characters from the first couple of books. You do get to know him some and you really do not know if you are to love or hate him. He is a strong character with an open mind and easy going, natural, rich boy way of living. Not in an obnoxious way though which make me love him even more. Allie is this great, strong, funny character who is down to earth. I love how their relationship starts of as a “accident” and how grownup they are about everything. How the relationship and the feelings grow in a good, slow, realistic way and it made me not be able to stop reading. I love the bumps in the road and how it all worked out. I love the underlining meaning with the book. I love every freaking thing about it. I’m not kidding.

There is not often I feel this way about a book. In a way where I seriously can’t stop raving about it. So i’m gonna stop here. Now! Just want to say that this is a great book, and a even greater series by a talented author and if you never read this or anything by Kennedy before, I highly, with my whole heart recommend it.

Oh, and it ended in a way that I just have to read the forth book. Not cliffhanger per say, but I seriously need to know.  To bad I’m on a “buy books” ban. I need to read down my TBR before I buy anymore books. According to my calculations, this will not be able until after new years. Yeah, that is how many books I own and need to read. Will I be able to wait?

My thoughts: If one can get past the fact that the suspense plot is predictable and the characters are morons, it is an okay, light read. Nothing overly exciting but a good, fluffy book who got the job done. I wanted something like it and i’m happy that I did get just that. Even though I can’t call it a literary wonder-work.

I do like mystery/suspense romances and the idea of the book was good and believable. There is some strong parts and in the beginning I did really like Beth and disliked Amber. But later on in the book I really started to dislike Beth and like Amber instead. Then I did really hate/love the character Amanda and she surprised me through out the book. I had not expected it but I did predict the ending. And I did miss some more depth between Beth and Keith. There was certainly a lot more to build on in my opinion and the last 10% pages was boring and nothing new.

I like the book as one of those fussy, easy time passers with light plots and characters. Do not often find them great but they get the work done. Which is keeping my mind occupied, be interesting enough to feed me another book in the line of many and keep me company when i need it. Sometimes my brain just need something easy and predictable. Something warm and easy to connect to.

My thoughts: Meh! Not worth the time or money. It’s right now free on Amazon if you wish to give it a chance, but I would not recommend it and i’m glad that I didn’t spend any money on this peace of *not my kind of book*.

I can’t understand how this book has such high rating on Goodreads. I was after something easy, sexy and funny with characters to connect with. This however was not anything like that. The plot is thin at best, the hero is an asshole, the heroin is a bitch and nothing was easy, sexy and funny. There was nothing to like when it came to the characters and quite frankly they do deserve each other. There is a different between being tough girl with an attitude and a bitch. This just went in the wrong directions and nothing helped me like the characters when they are that stupid. And that the hero kept telling how much he *disliked* his sweet and caring mother just pissed me off. The story is long and filled with one cliché after another. The start was boring, the middle was just about sex and the ending I kept asking myself “is it over yet?” There was some attempts on suspense and romance but it just felled flat.

I could barely finish and if it was not for the reason that I didn’t have the energy to try to choose a new book, I would probably have DNF it. I applaud you who found this one a four-five star book. I do not know what you see in it, but apparently I missed something. My loss I guess.

My thoughts: This is the 8th book in the neighbor from hell series and I have loved pretty much every single one of them I have read. Except this one. It really did not reach the target this time and that is too bad and even makes me a little sad. Since my accident I’m in a lot of pain and don’t sleep well. When I’m not dumping my brain into a random tv show or game on my phone, I try to read. And I really needed some kind of pick me up read that would make me happy and maybe make me feel a little better. I thought that this was the one who would not disappointed me. Unfortunately I was wrong.

The first 30% of the book is pretty funny and good. I am not denying that. There is some good characters and you got to love their reactions and counteractions to each other. Unfortunately it just got to be too much. They kept ranting and same thing happened over and over again. I didn’t fall for the heroin in the same way as I’m usually do and find her kind of annoying a lot of the times. Christopher aka Lucifer certainly has more depth than what meets the eye but that is not really showed in the story either. And there is really no plot either. It’s to loosy floosy with any real goal.

The whole book feel like something pushed out of thin air with nothing but an idea, without love or excitement for the writing of the book itself. It was weirdly written where it was not that easy at all times to know who talks/thinks and suddenly the point of view shifted to other characters from the earlier books. This has never happened before and was total surprise and I actually thought for a while that my eBook was defaulted. It just didn’t make sense at first to be there with Lucifer and Becca and then suddenly you where there with Trevor and Zoe for a whole chapter. Talk about confusing.

I’m still gonna continue the series. Just see this book as an bump in the road and that Mathewson is just human and not even she is flawless. 🙂
